Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Very nice and traditional Chinese restaurant. That have a very special garlic that pickled by vinegar? Most important that, the food is worth the price. Very recommend after you have holiday at Cameron Highlands and going back to KL."
"Had our dinner here just now. Just a short distance off the North South Highway, on our way back from KL. Almost all the tables were occupied and it was noisy. Very good business. It was the same when we came here for lunch last time. The dishes are delicious and very reasonable price. Today just 3 of us, so can't order many dishes. The fish head soup was the best. I am a garlic hater but I love their pickled garlic (which by the way is foc)."
"We had an enjoyable dinner at this conveniently located restaurant. Food was nice, and more interestingly they offer a whole range of goodies. I docked one star for a potential safety hazard as the travel to the toilets can be precarious for the infirm, due to the wet floor next to the aquariums (when the fish are caught) and in the toilet area."
"Chanced upon this restaurant as we are stucked in the long holiday traffic returning to KL from Penang. Took an off road to this cozy restaurant in Tapar and was lucky to order a popular dish yet rarely available which is the fried prawn with macadamia nut. We were told that it is cooked by the restaurant owner. It’s so appetizing and flavorful that we’re ate so much even we were not that hungry. Would definitely return for more. Recommend!"
"Ordered a salted fish pork belly, claypot tofu, salted egg squid and a fried vegetables. Love their salted egg squid the most! (I believe they are well-known for their seafood dishes). Relatively cheap price at RM 110+ with a box of Musang king (got it in the restaurant) as dessert."
"Delicious food, great service, and nice ambience. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The dishes tasted authentic and portions were generous. Highly recommended!"
"The fried rice for me is amazing, taste good and not stingy with the ingredients. Pricing is reasonable, and it is always full house especially during CNY."
"Passed by this place on our way up to Cameron Highlands with my parents and aunty. You’ll not miss it right after turning in from the highway, it’s on the right on the way up. Such a great find and recommended by my dad. Oh yes, we came to this restaurant 2 times within 3 days. The food is awesome and particularly I like their soy sauce stir fry prawn. It’s with pork lard!!!!! Soooooo yummy. The butter milk fried fish is good too. Others I think is ok too. The pricing is reasonable. The seating of each table is too close to each others, uncomfortable to move around. There’s many cookies and local delicacies you can find from this restaurant too. Brought back some cookies and snacks. I’ll comeback again to try other dishes."
